The fairy-tale world of Disneyland in Paris attracts not only young tourists, but also their quite adult parents. This is its main charm! Today our story will be dedicated to this amazing place, which is worth visiting for every guest of the French capital and see for yourself that the time and money spent here will pay off in full with vivid impressions! We will tell you about the most interesting attractions, how much tickets cost and how to get there on your own.

When is the best time to go

Although the fairy world is open all year round, the best time to visit it is during the New Year holidays. It is on these winter days that the whole world is engulfed in Christmas moods, and children go on vacation. Therefore, such a trip can be an excellent solution for a variety of leisure activities during winter evenings. If you do not like long lines for attractions, strive to choose the optimal time for the trip, taking into account the least influx of visitors, we recommend planning your visit to the Parisian fairy tale world in late May or early September. During these months, the main visitors of the amusement park - children - “gnaw” the granite of science on school benches and nothing will prevent you from enjoying the attractions to the fullest.

Louvre: admission ticket for a specific time - 17 € (+ commission for an order 3 €)
Skip-the-line tickets to the roof of the Arc de Triomphe - 13 €
Eiffel Tower: access to the second floor - 42.50 €
Versailles & Gardens: Skip-the-Line Ticket with Audio Guide - € 26
Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour. Class., Prem. or Suite - 33.15 €
Paris museums subscription: 2, 4 or 6 days - 57 €
Show at Moulin Rouge with champagne - 87 €
Paris museums subscription: 2, 4 or 6 days - 53 €

How to get there

Since the amusement park is located outside the city at a distance of 40-45 km, the most optimal and affordable option to get there today is the RER train or the TGV double-decker express train. In the first case, tourists are advised to purchase a pass to the red line of the overground metro and proceed to the Marne-la-Vallee station.

To get on the route you need, you need to land at Charles de Gaulle Etoile station (which is opposite the Arc de Triomphe) or change to the red line at Chatelet Les Halles station. Trains also depart from Auber stations (near the opera hall of the Grand Opera), Chatelet-Les Halles, Gare de Lyon (Gare de Lyon), as well as from the station on the National Square.

The frequency of running is on average 8-10 minutes. By the way, from Charles de Gaulle airport you will have to make a transfer at the last mentioned metro station. Such a route, together with a change, will take about 80-90 minutes, taking into account the walking section. The RER train fare is 15 euros for adults and 9 euros for children.

If you want to shorten your travel time, we recommend using the faster alternative TGV express train, the ticket for which is 1-2 euros more expensive. You can plan your own route option, being in the center of Paris, on your own, having learned the schedule and routes of running buses and metro. An even more convenient way is to use the services of our partner - Kiwitaxi. A car transfer for your company will cost RUB 4,800.

Working hours

The park is open all year round, seven days a week. Although you can get into the territory from 9 am, all attractions start working an hour later. But the closing time differs depending on the season. So, in summer, attractions are available until late at night and the park is preparing for closing closer to midnight. And on autumn and winter days, it stops its work from 20.30 to 22 o'clock at night. On holidays and weekends, the amusement park is open a couple of hours longer than usual, and on winter weekdays it closes even earlier - at 19 or 20 pm.

So that visitors can celebrate the New Year in the circle of cartoon characters, enjoy festive fireworks and enchanting shows, the park is open until 22:00 from December 21 to 30, and until 01:00 on New Year's Eve! A more favorable work schedule is also presented during the Christmas celebrations.

Note! The park includes two thematic zones at once - Walt Disney Studio and Disneyland Park, the work schedules of which are somewhat different from each other. This should be taken into account when purchasing a pass. A complex ticket gives its owners the advantage - they can move from one zone to another an unlimited number of times.

Ticket prices and how to buy

Although on the Internet you can find a lot of "useful" tips for purchasing tickets to a Parisian amusement park, we will only tell you about the most reliable and proven ways of buying. So, the simplest and most popular today is buying a pass through the official Disneyland website. Today, there are three types of tickets on the site, which differ not only in their cost, but also have time limits for visiting the amusement park.

The presented types of electronic passes - MINI, MAGIC and SUPER MAGIC - although they provide equal access to their owners to the attractions, still have date restrictions. The biggest inconvenience can be brought to its holders by a MINI ticket, which will not give the opportunity to enjoy the world of attractions on weekends and holidays, as well as during New Year and Christmas celebrations. It will not be possible to enter the park during the summer holidays.

1 day ticket to Disneyland Paris - 51 €
1 day ticket to Disneyland® and Walt Disney Studios - 87 €
Entrance ticket to Disneyland Paris for 2, 3 or 4 days - from 169 €

But the most expensive type - FASTPASS has no restrictions. The cost of the pass is also influenced by whether you want to visit only one of the two parks, or you want to get access to all the attractions. So, a visit to one park will cost adults from 30 to 150 euros, depending on the type of ticket.

Advice. If you are here for the first time, we advise you to buy a complex ticket that will allow you to visit all corners of the park and form a complete impression of the unique fairytale zone.

The advantage of buying tickets through the official website is that you don't have to stand in long lines while waiting for your turn. It is enough just to print a ticket on a printer, having paid its full cost in advance. If earlier such tickets had to be exchanged for paper tickets at the entrance, now this is not necessary. If the desire to visit the amusement park arose spontaneously, and you did not have time to order a ticket through the website, you can go the standard way, buying it at the ticket office at the entrance, or find it in the Disneyland store, which is located on the Champs Elysees.

Adventureland

The Pirates of the Caribbean attraction is very popular in Adventureland, inviting teenagers over 140 cm tall and adults among the sets of the Indiana Jones movie to embark on Jack Sparrow's wanderings in search of the hidden treasure. The route runs in an intricate labyrinth across an abyss along a suspended bridge and a descent from a winding hill.

Adventure Island is a thrilling attraction in the search for a sunken pirate ship. The path to the goal will pass along rocks, past stormy waterfalls and mysterious caves. The attraction has no age restrictions and will be enjoyed by the whole family.Pirate Galleon is an attraction in which guests, after several adventures, find themselves on a colorful pirate ship, and then go to the Pirate Beach, joining in an exciting game.

The attraction "Aladdin's Passage" will take you to the tales of 1001 nights. A walk through the oriental palace filled with miracles takes place without age restrictions, delighting children.

Fantasyland

A picturesque corner of a fairy-tale country delights kids from meeting animated characters of fairy tales and the opportunity to take pictures with them. After visiting the "Castle of the Sleeping Beauty" with the lair of a fire-breathing dragon, you can go to the labyrinth "Burrow of the White Rabbit". Accompanied by the smile of the Cheshire cat and the cartoon characters, you will go through several doors to get a storm of emotions on the carousel of cups belonging to the Hatter from the fairy tale of Alice.

Further, the fabulous trail will lead to the funicular to take Peter Pan's flight from the apartment window into the London sky past Big Ben, meeting mermaids, Indians and pirates on the way. On the "Flying Dumbo" ride, sitting on the backs of the elephants rotating at different speeds, a wonderful view of the entire park opens up. And what a pleasure it is to ride on the "Miners' train" to visit Snow White and her hardworking dwarfs, encountering revived trees and cunning witches on the way!

Sitting on the colorful circus "Casey Train" children will travel through their favorite cartoons, seeing Arthur's sword, visiting the Little Mermaid's grotto and visiting other cartoon characters. Those who do not want to take the train can take an exciting boat trip along a small river with puppets singing a merry song. And how many more surprises Fantasy Land will present!

Frontierland

The atmosphere of the Wild West will surround you in a border country. There are many roller coasters in its landscape that simulate high mountains. Gold miners' cars rush along them, passing hills, caves and slopes. The steepest of these rides is “Big Thunder Mountain” with stylized trolleys rushing around the mine, along dangerous turns and tunnels, finding themselves momentarily under water.

To catch your breath from the attractions, board a wheeled motor ship docked at the pier and sail along the river, admiring the fantastic landscapes. If you want a thrill - go to the house of the Ghosts, built in the image of the "Adams family" and guarded by two lions. When the doors are opened by the butler, you will go into the hall, where you will hear terrible sounds, and the owners who have left the land will wink from the mirror in the living room. Get even more adrenaline by taking the elevator down to the basements of the house.

Even in the border country, shooting from a cowboy colt in the Horse Thieves' Shooting Range, a show about Tarzan, the performance of cartoon characters in the theater of the Pocahontas Garden and many other attractions are fascinating.

Discoveryland

In the Land of Discovery, ideas about the future of the 19th century science fiction writer Jules Verne were embodied. For children taller than 1.30 meters, the future will be revealed by the "Auto-Utopia" attraction in the form of fantastic cars racing along the rails at breathtaking speed. For those who are fond of astronomy, welcome to the Indiana Jones slide, in which, under a star dome, you will sweep in a rocket among stars and comets along labyrinths of space routes, now soaring up, then falling into the abyss.

On "Orbitron" even a small child will be able to control the rotation of rockets, while "Space Mountain" will bring a sea of emotions to thrill-seekers. You will feel the state of the astronaut in a catapult, taking off abruptly into outer space, feeling weightlessness, and then, at a speed of 40 km per hour, make side loops of 360⁰ and enter a tailspin.

No less exciting is "Flight to the Stars", imitating the plot of the film "Star Wars", performed by 65 passengers on a spaceship in intergalactic space. After space travel, you can take a tour of the compartments of Captain Nemo's Nautilus submarine, see the half-hour show “Legends of the Lion King” in Videopolis.

Main street of the USA

The main street of the USA is a copy of the California Disneyland avenue. This is a picturesque promenade with many cafes and souvenir shops, covered on both sides by arcades, which are covered pedestrian walkways. They protect visitors from the elements and serve as themed galleries. So, in the Gallery of Liberty it is interesting to trace the history in photographs and see the details of the construction of the Statue of Liberty, and in the Gallery of Discovery - models of inventions made more than 100 years ago.

On the main street of the United States, there is a train station where electric trains from Paris arrive. From here there are routes to the countries of Disneyland: Border, Discovery and Fantasy. Colorful parades are held daily along the main street of the United States, delighting visitors. A procession of Disney cartoon characters to music on the main street of the United States opens Disneyland at 10.00.

The main parade "Disney's Fairy World" on platforms illustrating popular cartoons with their characters starts at 5 pm in winter and at 7 pm in summer. At 21.00 above the Castle of the Sleeping Beauty, fireworks are colored with lights, which we see on the screensavers of Disney films.

Walt Disney Studios Park

In the land of illusions - "Walt Disney Studios" opens the exciting world of cinema and animation, divided into 4 zones. First, you get to the Front Lot site, which recreates the real Hollywood Boulevard, where you can become a spectator of the filming. At Toon Studio, children will be able to visit the creative workshop and see how cartoons are created. Among the abundance of attractions, the show "Animagia" is delighted, where special effects are depicted scenes from popular cartoons: "The Lion King", "The Jungle Book" and others.

The attraction of 16 airplane carpets flying around the magic lamp of Aladdin and a car rally for kids is delightful. Turtle slides that serve as guides through the depths of the sea among coral reefs, predatory fish and whirlpools depicted by holograms are fascinating. The most fearless visitors will be entertained by the Tower of Terror - a mysterious show with mind-blowing lighting and video effects. On the studio's sightseeing tram, you will ride through Production Countryard's film studios, learning the secrets of filming and TV shows.

At Back Lot, where stunt and special effects studios are located, you will experience the horrors of Armageddon with meteor showers falling on the orbital station, and see man-made and natural disasters. At the BackLot site, stuntmen put on an exciting show on motorcycles and cars. Finish your walk through the park at Walt Disney Studios with a well-thrilling descent from a rock and roll slide to the music of Aerosmith.

Disney Village Park

Disney Village appears as a shopping and entertainment complex, equal in size to 20 football fields. It is surrounded by Walt Disney Studios on one side and Disneyland Park on the other. The entrance to the kingdom of entertainment is free, but it is incredibly difficult to resist the temptation not to spend money here.

How to resist the show "The Legend of Buffalo Bill and Friends" with scenes from the life of Indians, cowboys with bulls and bison, and serving a Texas barbecue? Someone will be carried away by flying in the basket of a Panora Magique balloon, hovering a hundred meters from the ground, and someone will keep the excitement in the huge "Nex Game Arcade" with the latest video games.

Disney Village has an abundance of distinctive cafes and restaurants. Even an advanced gourmet will find it difficult to choose between restaurants: in the form of the bistro of the mid-twentieth century "Annette's diner", Bavarian cuisine "Castle of King Ludwig", in the style of Chicago of the last century "The Steakhouse" and "Café Mickey", where visitors are entertained by Disney characters: Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Pluto. Disney Village is full of shops, galleries, boutiques, where you can buy clothes, CDs and souvenirs as a keepsake.

How to skip the line

It is not hard to guess that in the summer seasons, on weekends and holidays, as well as during the New Year holidays, crowds of fans of adventure, vivid impressions and attractions come to Disneyland. Therefore, everywhere you have to stand in long lines. This is especially true of popular entertainment and attractions. As we already mentioned, in order to avoid the queue at the ticket office at the entrance to Disneyland, you can purchase a ticket in advance through the official website, or by looking for a brand store in the center of Paris. But what about entertainment?

But even in such a seemingly hopeless situation, there is a little trick that we will be happy to share with you. So, in order to avoid waiting for your turn to experience popular attractions (you can wait from 40 minutes to an hour and a half!), We recommend using the FAST PASS system. To do this, you need to find a special machine that is very similar to a game machine and, as a rule, is located near the entertainment itself.

Next, you need to attach the barcode of the pass printed on the printer to a special window (for those purchased at the checkout or store - magnetic tape). In a second, you will be given another ticket, with which you can go to the attraction through the FAST PASS entrance, bypassing the queue.

The only caveat is that you can use this right no earlier than 30 minutes from the moment you receive the ticket and at the strictly allotted time (indicated on the back). From the "minuses" it is necessary to highlight the fact that not all types of entertainment provide such an opportunity. To ride some of them, you still have to stand in line.

Which hotel to choose

When choosing a hotel for temporary residence, each tourist must proceed from personal preferences and the very cultural and entertainment program that he adheres to. So, if you are traveling to Paris specifically to visit Disneyland, you can stay in one of the hotels that are located in the park. In the same case, when your trip is not limited to acquaintance with the amusement park, and you would like to set aside time to visit other sights of Paris - the Louvre, cathedrals, museums, the Eiffel Tower, etc. - we recommend choosing a hotel in the capital.

We think it will not cause any discomfort to travel to the suburbs where Disneyland is located, which will take no more than 1-1.5 hours and will cost only a couple of tens of euros. This option will allow combining several cultural programs at once, satisfying the needs of both adults and young tourists. By the way, living in the park will sometimes cost more than spending a few nights in hotels in the central part of the capital. For example, stay for 3 days, two nights in the cheapest hotel.

Disney's Hotel Santa Fe (two stars) for an adult will cost a minimum of 259 euros. At the same time, for the same time spent in four-star hotels Hotel New York and Disneyland Hotel, it will cost no less than 389-619 euros.
